Senior Men A2 Result - Round 3, 2003-2004
James Makin kept his A2's sides perfect start to the season rolling with a first innings win against Kissing Point.
Nine wickets were taken in his tandem bowling partnership with spinner Steve Quanborough 5/71, James Makin 4/55. He was back in the action for day two with a spirirted 70 runs which took all the sting out of Kissing Point attack.
James innings was finished short when copping a blow on the hand from a delivery which resulted in him retiring hurt , doctors have confirmed that his thumb is broken and he will be out for 6 weeks.
Scott Henderson was unlucky to finish wicketless after his best opening bowling spell of the year.
Ronan Barrett (41) and James Fielder (54) kept the WPHC chase ticking over.
The boys cruised home chasing this total with all batsmen playing controlled innings that gave Kissing Point few oportunities with the ball.
Great start to the season guys, Kenthurst next week.
