WPHC 8/162 (M.Dawson 49, M.O'Grady 48, P.Reid 34) defeated Galston-Glenorie 6/160

The top of the table clash at The Glade, against Galston-Glenorie turned into a one-dayer, with the pitch deemed to be unplayable week 1. After losing the toss (again), we bowled first on a hot day. Our ground fielding was excellent, and our performance was made even more impressive as we were 1 fielder short in the field for the first 25 odd overs.

Galston-Glenorie were restricted to 6/160 off their 40 overs, with Andrew Driscoll and Simon Smyth getting 2 scalps each, with Matt Dawson and Micheal McDowell 1 wicket each. A special mention to Michael Banner, who as fill-in keeper, took 3 catches. Peter Reid also took a great snare at slip.

Our chase stared by losing 3 wickets in the first 3 overs. After that, Peter Reid and Michael O'Grady got our run chase going, with a crucial partnership. Matt 'Razzaq' Dawson smashed a quickfire 49, including 11 fours, to see us closer to victory, before Michael Banner hit the winning runs to see us remain on top of the A2 ladder.
