Round 6, Day 2 (29th November)

After a wet weekend last Saturday all matches got underway but were played as 1 dayers. As usual there were a number of super performances so here goes:

+ A1 came back into the winners list with a good win over Kenthurst. In what is another first we beat them at Kenthurst for the second time in the season. Best was Ben Gerard who scored 64 that enabled us to struggle to 166. Peter Whitehead prved the difference again with 3/14 with his offspin. Kenthurst Oval over theyears has been our least preferred ground with more losses than wins but things have turned tis year.
+ B1 had a surprising loss - being rolled for only 100 chasing 170! Up until the last Round the lads remain undefeated. When account is taken of last season, they had won 14 games in a row - one more and they would have equalled the known Cub record of 15 straight by our mighty D2 side in 1983/84 who won every match but lost the Final.
+ The all time record winning record? Our U16's between 1991 and 1997 won ecvery Final between the U10's to U16's!
+ In B2, both of our sides scored good wins against good opposiiton. Best performance came from Richard Baini who scored 91. Brendan Ham who was promoted from D2 Grade, continues to impress with 3/46.
+ In C1, nobody told them that this was a one day game. After rolling ARL for 47 they went for the outright and had them 8/109 - just missing out on 10 points. Matt Spalding starred with 5/17 in the first innings. Well done Dale.
+ Without doubt, the best performed team was D1 - beating St Ives outright in one day! After dismissing them for 47, we declared at 4/132 (Michael O'Grady scoring 53*). In their second innings they were rolled for 18! This was the equal lowest score made by an Opponent in D1 against us. The existing record was achieved in 2000/01 against Wahroonga at Karuah. Well done Roger.
+ D2 also made a welcome return to the winners list with a close win over Normanhurst. Marco Delgardo continued his purple patch of form with 50*.

Centuries
So far we have been light on this season. Last year we clocked up a record 18 in the season but so far only 3!
