West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Cricket Club Est. 1930

Round 4, Day 1 (25th October)

The highlight of this week were the thunderstorms that stopped all games around 3.00pm. With grounds flooded it was an early mark back at the Club.

Matches continue as 2 day games next week with declarations at the discretion of the team still batting.

That said, there were some good performances:
+ Richard Stonier (A2), playing his first match since arriving from the UK is 26*. He opened the batting and is holding the batting together with the team being 5/64 but with batting to come.
+ The C1 team has made an early impact on the strong Castle Hill batting line up having them 3/24.
+ Spare a thought for C3 who have Kissing Point 6/77 after only 2 hours of play. With ashortened game an outright may be difficult - but fingers crossed.

Hero's of the week
To those hardy (stupid or whatever) folk who got the stumps during the pouring rain. Matt Davidson (B1) and especially Andrew Mills (B2 Blue) come to mind. Millsy went out in pouring rain with a foldup chair on his head. His motivation - to be able to get to the Club earlier - what a team player!

Rankings
+ Our rankings in the competition follows:
A1 13 points (2nd)
A2 9 (=4th)
