Round 3 (Day 1) 11th October
Another cold windy day welcomed the weekend. The outstanding achievements of the Round are:
+ A Grade made a storming comeback after their loss last match to be 1/88 in reply to Berowra's 182. Matt Barr is 40* and has now scored 148 runs this season for once out. Peter Whitehead has also made a welcome return to form with 40*
+ Another highlight in A1 was Chris Boyd. After taking a wicket in the first innings. he has now taken 100 wickets for the Club - a fabulous achievement.
+ A2 have a battle on their hands chasing 7/256 set by Normanhurst.
+ In B1, the evergreen Mark Taylor celebrated his 40th birthday with a promotion in the batting order to number 3 and scoring 28*. Mark has a huge reputation of being a middle order who can maul attacks so the promotion to the top order opens a career change.
+ B2's have put up a competitive score of 215 thaks mainly to Gavan Hassett with 71 and Kevin Dearlove who scored 65
+ Both C1 teams are in a very good position. Star was C1 Blue allrounder Eric Junkkari who took 5/35. Eric now has 15 wickets in 3 games. Craig Hutchinson also continued his good form with 4 wickets.
+ In C2 Blue well done to both Alistair Rayment and Ryan Cherrie who both took 3 wickets
+ Spare a thought for C3 who are chasing 5/282 against a side (Normanhurst) that were Finalists in C1 last season - good luck next weekend
+ D2 continued where they left off last match kncking up 314 against Kenthurst. Scores were well spread but the outstanding effort was from Troy Newman who at 13 scored 41 runs - a fantastic effort.
