West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Cricket Club Est. 1930

News update November 2003

What a beautiful day to start the Kanga season.

Welcome everyone to the West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Cricket Club Kanga community and congratulations to all the parents who pitched in and put their long dormant muscles to work. We said that playing with the kids would be fun, didn't we!!

It's a great turnout this year with 94 Kanga's registered so far with a couple more in the pipeline.

Generally everthing went smoothly until a couple of U12 teams appeared. They were double booked on the ground by the Association. We apologise for any confusion having to finish early may have caused.

Shirts and hats
We are still waiting for our extra shirts - possibly another week. Everybody should have the hats by now.

Twilight games
We have been advised there will be a Twilight Games meet at Montview Oval on Saturday 22 November about 6.00pm until dusk. This will be an 8 a side pairs game, everybody bats, everybody bowls 2 overs. We have been invited to send a couple of teams to play against other Kanga clubs. This is designed for some of the older Kanga's who have a grasp on the play. Please advise if you and your child would be interested. This is a very pleasant social evening - ideal for spreading out the blanket and having a picnic while supporting our Kanga's.

Again, thank you to our parents for helping us get off to such a smooth start - especially our managers and Coaches and not forgetting the gear stewards - Well Done!!

If you have any queries, Chief Manager Mike Dooner, Chief Coach Andrew day or myself are there to help.

Cheers.

John Coulthard.
