The two teams decided by mutual agreement that the RED team would field first, thus meaning that the BLUE team would bat first.

The RED team started bowling with a brilliant effort, as Sajani took the first wicket in the second over. Felicity also took a wicket in the fifth over, with Georgia W taking a good catch from behind. Congratulations to Charlotte who took her second wicket of the season and had the best bowling figure (1/6). However, we gave away 37 sundries which will have to be improved for the next half season.

When it came to batting, Georgia and Felicity put us in good stead, as they both retired on 21. Anthea made 15 quick runs and contributed well to the overall score. Batting from Sajani and Edwina as well as the BLUE team’s 26 sundries, we were able to snatch a win by the 12th over.

Well done to the RED team for playing an excellent last game of the season.

Managers comments

I would like to thank all the supporting parents for your encouragement and supporting the team (umpiring, scoring and bringing fruits for the girls, picking toilet keys, bringing the gear and carrying drinks etc..). I am always open for ideas on how to run the team more smarter and efficiently.

Yes we have a great first half of the season with 5 wins and 3 losses.

Training is recomencing on the 22nd January 2009 Thursday.

I will pass on the draw for the 2nd half season once its available.
