Junior Girls U13 Red Result - Round 6, 2008-2009
WPHCCC won the toss and elected to field first in order to
try and bowl out Gordon’s batsmen early on in the game. We were not disappointed when Felicity and Edwina took 5
wickets between them before the 9th over (Felicity 3/9
Edwina 2/5). Georgia was also responsible for three
brilliant run-outs with the help of Sajani, Felicity and Dasuni. The
team only gave away 10 sundries which was an amazing
improvement for us. Gordon’s final score was 8/52 at the
9th over (all out!).
When we started batting, the weather was definitely not on
our side! However, the weather cleared up and our batsmen
were able to defeat the Gordon team successfully, with
Georgia on a score of 13 and Felicity scoring 19.
WPHCCC reached Gordon’s total in 9 overs and it was
pleasing to see that we were able to snatch a defeat in our
last match with that team. Well done to WPHCCC red and the
Gordon team!
