Junior Girls U13 Red Result - Round 4, 2008-2009

"November 15th, 2008, Round 4:

WPHCCC Red were defeated by Gordon (WPHCCC- 6/105 Gordon- 7/111)

WPHCCC won the toss and elected to bat first in order to get some runs on the board. When our openers had trouble with the accurate bowling of Gordon, we were 4/9. With the help of Anthea and Felicity, the total ended up being 6/105. Felicity retired on 26 and Anthea scored 17 runs.

Georgia W took 3 brilliant wickets. Congratulations to Felicity, Anthea, Charlotte and Georgia W for taking some fantastic wickets. Dasuni and Georgia were also responsible for a very impressive run-out. Gordon gave away 42 sundries, with our team giving away 36.

The game was very close and everyone felt pressured as the scores were almost tied. We also lost a player due to injury, thus increasing the pressure. With three balls to go, Gordon beat us and we lost our first game of the season. Hopefully, everyone learnt something from the game and it will make us a better team.

Great report Edwina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are few things we all have learned from the last match:

- Need to improve on our fielding and bowling.
- 36 too many sundries

Well done to Charlotte she have got her first wicket.

We will be playing against Hornsby at Cedarwood and we should have 9 players for this week. Another challenging game coming up!

Reminder: There will be the last opportunity this Tuesday to trial out for the NSGCA representative teams U13 and 2 teams x U15. You have my full support to trial out and please see attachment for the nomination form Georgia W and Dasuni have attended the trial last week.

Yes there are few complaints about last Thursday training there is no supervision or coach available and I have raised this issue with John Potter and he will be look into it. William (Cara's dad) can help out if the week we cannot have any coach available but we have to let William know in advance. Thanks William.

Last week Thanks William for umpiring and Ian (Edwina's dad) for doing the scoring.
