We are off to a really good start to the season by winning our first 2 games. Last weekend we played Normanhurst-Warrawee who are a good side at Howson Oval.

Week 1
What is really good this year is that we have a lot of depth in our batting and bowling with everyone able to score runs and take wickets. Batting first we were in trouble after we lost 6 wickets quickly to be 6/26! What is really good is that we recovered to get a competitive score 159 against a good bowling attack. We would have liked more runs on a fast ground but this gave us something to bowl at. Sid batted really well again and got 62 on top of this 52 not out last match. Chris also did very well with 19 and got good support from Ronic with his 17.

Week 2
On week 2 we needed to bowl and field well and we did. The match was close and we got them all out for 138. We got wickets regularly which put them under pressure and stopped them getting partnerships.

Just like our batting, our bowling is strong and has a lot of depth. Sid bowled well again and got the figures with 3/19 from 10 overs. Our other bowlers to pick up wickets were DA 2/19, Angus with his 2/26 (he got 4/6 last match!), Ryan 1/12 and Chris with 1/18.

Next match
We play Hornsby at Glenhaven starting on the 25th October.
