Junior Boys Under 14 Blue Result - Round 10, 2007-2008
The U14 Blues opened the batting under grey skies and a slow outfield. Stuart played an excellent innings of 19 runs during a slow first 20 overs. Sahill had proved the anchor, eventually out for 17 runs. Things speeded up after the first break and Joel smashed his way to a quick 30 runs not out with a useful 15 runs contributed from Steve.
Defending a total of 96 runs, Joel was on a hat trick 2-1. Ashane made a brilliant diving catch and Wynston took a low great catch at gully. Lachlan bowled the middle stump out of the ground during the first 15 overs dominated by the Blues bowlers. However, some loose bowling and a punishing spell from the opposition's big no. 4 meant that our run total was overtaken.
A good match from the boys with the game slipping away when players lost focus during the middle parts of the game.
