Junior Boys Under 14 Blue Result - Round 8, 2007-2008
Well after several Saturdays of rain and cancelled games the sun finally appeared. Unfortunately it was not us it was shining upon.
We won the toss and decided to bat, the grass was long and the boundaries seemed to be further away. Castle Hill RSL bowled exceptionally well and on more than one occasion it was difficult to follow the balls bowled from the sideline. Our boys did very well to face them we were bowled out for 37 runs. In today’s game some of Castle Hill’s opening bowlers were also in the top order of their batting side and performed very well. Their top scoring batsmen who passed his half century had no difficulty with our fast bowlers. It was interesting to note however that he struggled with Ashane and Aiden spin bowling. Castle Hill RSL went on to score 71 runs, todays play wasn’t all bad the spectators did see some nice strokes from our batsman and some well fielded and returned balls.
Remember boys cricket is not your life, it is a game in your life and next Saturday be there to play the game.
