U13®

This was our 1st game back after the school holidays and we had a big one against Berowra. It was tough as we had to play a 1-dayer against good side with only 10 players.

We won the toss and bowled first. They were slow early and only scored 24 runs off 14 overs. We bowled really well early with Pranav and Ryan opening the bowling for the first time. Berowra then got away to 1/147 in their 32 overs but this was still gettable but we had to bat well.

Our fielding was much better than last game. An area of improvement is that we continue to move in with the bowler and backup.

When we batted DA and Sid opened the batting. Sid got his highest ever score with 62 no and really batted well. Chris got a really good 20. We finished at 3/122 so only 26 off a winning score. Berowra will be one of the top teams and we almost beat them with 10 players and with a lot of runs left in some of our batsmen.

We play the Gold’s next week and they will be tough after having won the last 2 Premierships. We know we can beat them and with our full strength team back after a couple matches we are really looking forward to the game.

Pink grips
I will be bringing along the pink batting grips on the weekend so that we can put them on our bats. I think we should support breast cancer and put them on our bats. I have one and our Rep team is also doing it.
