Juniors
Representatives
Congratulations to the players in the U15 Age Division – of the 24 players chosen in the Weblin Shield and IDCA Teams we have 13 players in this squad including 8 of the 12 in Weblin Shield. This is an amazing achievement so well done.

Leadership depth
A Club first – also in the U15 Rep Squads. For the 1st time in our History, the Captains of the Shield and IDCA Teams in an Age Group come from the one Team - the U15 Blue's! Congratulations to DA (Weblin Shield Captain), James Madden (Weblin Shield Vice Captain) and Sid Sethi (Captain U15 IDCA) Team.

Seniors Results
A1 Grade drew with Hornsby – no play.

A2 6/239 drew with Kenthurst – wet day, no play, the end.

Colts Red 152 defeated Kissing Point 113 – Sunday game that may not go ahead due to turf wickets.

Colts Blue 58 lost on first innings to Berowra – Sunday game also being played on turf.

B1 351 Vs Hornsby 1/6 – washed out day 2.

B2 6/84 drew with Pymble 108 – no play due to wet weather.

C1 0/125 defeated on 1st innings Vs St Ives 0/125 – no play due to a wet Samuel king Oval.

C2 127 lost to Berowra 178 – playing at Arcadia, both WPHCCC and Berowra agreed that we wanted to play cricket in spite of the weather. We consequently played day 2 in an incessant, freezing drizzle from the first ball. After commencing the day at 54/2 we lost wickets steadily to be all out for 127, chasing 182 for victory. The heavy outfield resulted in numerous powerfully hit shots ending up a 2's and if the conditions had been comparable we might have been much closer to the target score.

C3 174 drew with Glenhaven 4/53 – no play at Greenway Park.

D1
Blue 2/275 drew with ARL – no play at Northholm Grammar.

Red 114 drew with Berowra 2/114 – no play at Foxglove South

D2 162 lost to Galston-Glenorie 8/172– a match that went ahead despite the weather as both sides felt they had something worth playing for, and, as predicted, it went down to a close finish with Galston-Glenorie passing our score with just three wickets in hand. Ben Pilipowski wasby far the best of our bowlers with ten overs, four maidens, 4/18, while Nikhil Suresh chipped in with a handy 2/22. Sam Thariani put in a great effort behind the stumps, and Sam Shearer was once again outstanding in the field. In all, this was lion-hearted performance by our boys in pretty atrocious conditions, and playing one man short, that has boosted our confidence and left us convinced that this Galston-Glenorie side is a team that we can beat.

Quote of the week
Noteworthy comments from Steve Baker (C2):
“To get a boundary you would have to hit it 90% of the way to the boundary on the full.” That cleared things up for us a bit, we were thinking you would have to hit it 100% of the way to the boundary to get a 4. If only he had spoken earlier many of those 2's could have been 4's.

What a choice
Spare a thought for John Steel (C1) – a passionate Parramatta supporter who has been waiting 28 years to see a possible win in Sunday’s Grand Final only to have a wedding scheduled at the same time. Sounds like an opportunity to call in sick.

The Kenthurst B2 boys made the right decision last week – they played a 1-dayer to free up this weekend.
