Cricket NSW Level 1 Accreditation
Cricket NSW is running a Level 1 Coaching Course in September. Over the last few years we have run a Level 1 programme at Edward Bennett Oval and now have 29 qualified Level 1 coaches. It is an excellent course and is highly recommended.

Where: Montview Oval, Hornsby Heights
Time: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Cost: $Nil if you coach a WPHC team otherwise $120 / person.
There are still some spots available so if you want to get this valuable qualification please move quickly. The only condition we apply is that if you commit to go and don't turn-up then we ask for the cost to be reimbursed which is only fair.
If you are interested then please get back to Ross Anderson (wisden@bigpond.com) your name and full contact details. There are still spots available but please move quickly if you are interested.
Anecdotes
Eye Test
Got to hand it to Matt Dawson, our A1 Captain. Matt is has sent an email out to the A Grade squad asking them all to have eye sight tests before the season.
Where are they now
We will run a regular update what our former well known players are doing since they have moved on. The first update is on Legend Tony Hadley.
Tony now plays in WA for the Duncraig Vikings. To quote Tony. They were:
One day champions and lost in the 4 day grand final yes 4 days!! Unfortunately I was the 12th man in both finals because my boy Noah was due to be born. I will remind him of this in the years to come!
I took out the fielding award this year for G grade - not bad for an old fart. I turned 40 on the 12th of June. I had a pretty lean year with the bat and didn't even make a 50, only made about 250 runs - so personally a little disappointing. I am hoping to rectify this next season and had my first net session the other day to blow out the cob webs!!
