Seniors
Day 1 of the Semi Finals was played on Saturday. Progress scores are:

A2 121 Vs Kenthurst 1/19 – the scorecard is not what it seems here. While Kenthurst flattened out during the day the outfield has ankle high grass making run scoring very difficult. We got our runs in 71 overs and Kenthurst have taken 19 overs to get their runs. Best with the bat for us Darren Morrow with 28. At one stage we were 6/50 but Matt Jobson and Scott Henderson combined to give us a score the equivalent of 200 plus. There is a lot of cricket left in this game.

Colts Red 2/51 Vs Kissing Point 329 –bowling first up on the flat Storey track was not what we were hoping for but after 14 overs we were looking well placed with Kissing Point 4/58. However this brought the two class batsmen in their team together and they proceeded to bat tremendously to both post big centuries – although if we had taken advantage of the several chances offered it would have been a much smaller total to chase. Interestingly, except for the two century makers and one other who scored 16, the remaining Kissing Point batsman failed to pass 10 runs. In reply to the formidable 329 we are 2/51. It's certainly a big chase but on a non-threatening strip with a lightning fast outfield we must be some hope.

Colts Blue 113 Vs Berowra 6/76 – interesting days play and the game is up for grabs. Highlights of the day included a 10th wicket partnership of 55 between Tim Anderson and Peter Taylor to get us to a score that gave us a glimmer of hope. The boys then came out to bowl and have kept things really tight to keep the game in the balance. We still have a chance of taking first innings if we bowl well first up next week. Best bowling for us was Tim Scoular who took 4/21 and perhaps more to come. This game is definitely going to be decided over second innings for each team.

B2 White 98 Vs Pymble 3/88 – no excuses in this one. Playing at Thornleigh Oval, on the day we were out batted and out bowled. Batting first, Nathan Fathers continued his outstanding season form with 42 and not much apart from that. In the bowling we did well and had the score been 200 plus which is par for this ground it would be a live game. We can still win from here but it will be tough.

C2 8/223 Vs Normanhurst-Warrawee – playing 2nd placed Normanhurst we batted & are ion top. Our juniors all starred today. Top score was Taki Manolelis with a brilliant 79. He was well support by Nick Starr & Daniel Fiedler (both 26) with Geoff Starr chipping in with 25.We bowled 7 overs & had them 0-11 at stumps. We're well placed, though will have an eye on the weather to hold out for us next week.

C3 116 Vs Berowra 0/41 – after weeks of outstanding form we need a big effort next week. With most batsmen getting starts only Chris Williamson kicked on with 37. At one stage we were 3/90 and just didn’t convert the starts. We needed another 50/60 runs to give us a reasonable target. Anyway, runs are still on the board and this side has proven many times this season their ability to fight back.

D1 Vs Berowra 8/188 – this game stands evenly poised with Berowra putting up a good fight with the bat but scoring slowly on this wide ground. Bowling for WPHC, Chris Milojevic (2-32) and Roger Friend (2-40) were the most successful, while Faisal Shamsi (1-10 from 9 overs), Shankar Ravi (1-25) and Marco Delgado (1-40) were the other wicket takers, Marco's wicket being his 100th for the club. Brendan Harkin (a run out and a great catch) put in a good day in the field, as did Chris Grima and Shankar Ravi, who seemed to attract the ball wherever he was fielding. Unfortunately a few missed chances cost us the opportunity of starting our innings before the end of the day. We will have our work cut out for us next week but back ourselves to win this one emphatically with the bat without recourse to playing for the draw.

D2 168 Vs St Ives 0/44 – we won the toss and elected to bat. A good opening 67 partnership between Brian Inwood and Russell Smith (who top scored with 61) and we were looking good at 2/102 but lost our way a little, losing the last 8 wickets for 66 runs ending all out for 168 in the 59th over. We then had 14 overs at St Ives, but couldn't get the break through at stumps. We have got this team all out for 80 before, so we are still keeping our sights on a victory.

Presentation Night
One for the diary. Our Presentation Night is on as follows:
• When: Friday 8th May

Club Championship
As mentioned above, we have now won the Club Championship for the 6th year in succession. This is a fantastic achievement given the difficulty of putting 11 strong teams on the field. The Final standings are:

Berowra 1462
St Ives 1452
Kissing Point 1437
