Well done to Lachlan McBrien who score his first ton with 110.

Seniors
A1 drew with St Ives yet another washout. The last time A1 took the field was on the 22nd November. Our luck has to change with games being scheduled on grounds with covers.
A2 63 lost to ARL 100 Ouch. Playing 1st placed ARL we smashed them on a slowish Headen. Brad Hingle was superb taking 5/13 from 7 overs in this 1-dayer. We started off well, being 3/45 after 18 overs. We then lost 6/13 to hand the game back to ARL. A win here would have put us back in the top 4 but not to be just yet.
Colts Red Vs Normanhurst-Warrawee Sunday game this week so scores to come.
Colts Blue drew Kissing Point game washed out.
B1 Bye week 2 of the Bye before the blockbuster against Glenhaven on the 20th December.
B2 Red 329 drew with B2 White while Greenway is a batting paradise in the dry, once it rains, the ground also becomes a lake. After heavy rain on Friday we were never going to get on so a shame for both sides who legitimately fancied their chances.
C2 4/132 defeated Mt Colah 122 back to the winners circle against a side pushing us for 4th place. Lachlan McBrien was the star with 4/15 (this after he scored his first century in juniors in the morning - 110) and Geoff Richards 3/16. We passed them comfortably, only 4 down (4/132), with 10 overs up our sleeve. Taki Manolelis hit his first 50 in seniors (51 no), and Geoff Richards smacked a quick 41.
C3 Vs Berowra game is played on Sunday 15/12.
D1 6/177 defeated Hornsby 8/174 another good win for us, firming our position in at least second place on the table. Tight bowling and good work in the field kept Hornsby's run rate restricted in the last ten overs, giving us a target our batsmen were well able to chase down. Of our bowlers Faisal Shamsi was accurate and economical with 2-22 off 8, Shankar Ravi bowled well for 2-36 and Roger Friend kept the tail in check, taking 2-14, well assisted by Manod Wickramasinghe, 1-18, while Marco Delgado completed the tally with 1-38. Batting for WPHC, Brendan Harkin (57) and Ben Pilipowski (17) made our best start of the season, putting on 74 for the first wicket. Marco Delgado (24) and Chris Milojevic (40 not out) then took us to within striking distance of our target with a 57 run stand for the fifth wicket. With three wins on the trot we are feeling confident going into next week's top of the table clash with first placed Kissing Point. If the boys play like they did today we might just knock them off their perch.
D2 9/146lost to Berowra 7/155 we played at Warrina St where it turned out to be tough batting conditions with the ball seaming all over the place. We ended up 9/146 with another good knock from Claudio Van Blerk 48. We knew Berowra were a good batting side and felt 146 would be difficult to defend. Having said this we had them at 3/3 after 5 overs with Ian Nicholl making the most of the new ball. Ian ended up with 2/21 off 8 overs. Vishnu Ratnam also put in a fine spell with 2/13, but we let the game slip away with some interesting fielding to say the least. Total sundries of 23 helped Berowra chase down the target in the 39th over. Overall a solid team effort and one we will learn from for the next encounter with Berowra.

Another one bites the dust
First it was Simon Smyth (A1) who got engaged. Now another one has fallen. This time our own Bill Peterkin (A1) announced his engagement on Thursday. Like Simon, the lucky person is actually a woman a lovely person named Bec. Simon and Bill have already tried to have the wedding on the same day (same place in fact) so that the A Grade boys can turn up to both weddings. The ground rules have already been set different days and venues. Well done Bill.
Run chase
One run chase to keep a look on anything to put pressure on you mate is Peter Westerbergs (D1) march to 100 career runs. While Peter is always one of the first people chosen in any Team the achievement of this personal milestone is starting to take a long time. After making his debut in 2002-03 he is now 22 runs off his 100 career runs in 68 innings. The question is whether he will get to 100 innings before 100 runs. The wait for his 100th wicket may be a bit longer Peter is 99 wickets short of this milestone. Peter, one good innings and it will be a celebration we will all know about.
Personal Milestone achievements
As at the end of Round 6 standings are:
Congratulations to James Fiedler on his 1,000 runs against Galston-Glenorie.

o Kishore Rampersad is 13 from 4,000 runs putting him in the top 10 Club run scoring batsmen of all time
o Andrew Watt is 5 off his 100 wickets.

Body Science Compression sports gear
BSC are Club sponsors. They provide compression sporting clothing to major sporting stars. Many NRL Clubs use BSC in preference to Skins. For every purchase, BSC rebate 10% back to our Club that is then used for development - training improvements, coaching and so on.
This product is especially useful for any player who gets niggles during or after games. It is also a very good idea for for Junior and Senior Rep players who have to back up on Saturday's/Sundays plus added training requirements.
If you are thinking about buying compression sports clothing then look no further than BSC - they are superior to Skins and the Club gets a benefit that goes back to our players.
The gear is available in black or white. If you need more information then please go to the BSC website on http://www.bodyscience.com.au/. The website also has a more complete listing of the compression gear product range and also sizing charts to help you work out the right size.
How do I get this gear
Bill Peterkin has kindly offered to be the link between our Club and BSC. All you need to do is to work out what you would like and let Bill know your requirements.
Bill can be contacted on 0488 110 942 or via email billstar@optusnet.com.au
