Club Championship
We don’t yet have the final Club Championship standings but it is likely that we have retained this Trophy. If this is correct is will be the 5th time since 2002-03 – only missing out last season.

Presentation Day
• When: Sunday 30th March
• Where: Campbell Park or Oakhill Drive Public School at 1.00 pm if it is wet
• Time: 11.00 am. This should go for about an hour maximum.

Kanga
Kanga got on for the first time since school returned due to a series of wet weekends. The Presentation Day has now been set. Details are:
• When: Saturday 8th March
• Where: Edward Bennett Oval
• Time: 10.00 am. The kids have a parents/Kanga game which is always fun and the presentations, including graduation certificates are handed out.

Seniors
Day one of the Semi Finals and the results follow – details are:

A2 (3rd) 86 defeated ARL (2nd) 57 and 3/23 – an amazing game that probably started 60 minutes too early on a wet Turramurra Oval. We won the toss which was an important start. Scott Henderson was almost unplayable taking 4/26 and got great support from Matt Jobson 3/20 and Brad Hingle with 2/13 at one stage was on a hat-trick. Our turn to bat on a still difficult track and the lead of 29 is priceless. Ronan Barrett with 21 and Ben Frawley 19 were brilliant. ARL’s turn to bat a second time and Bard Hingle did it again with 2 wickets and being on another hat-trick. At the close ARL are effectively 3 for minus 6. Twenty three wickets for 166 runs in one day says it all. Brilliant effort fellas now to close it off.

Colts (1st) Vs Hornsby (4th) – no play today due to a ground closure. The lads play next week at 11.00 am at Storey Park in a 2-day game played over 1 day.

C1 White 1/23 (1st) Vs WPHC C1 Red 7/242 – always a difficult to game against our own but it was good game played in very good spirit but wthout the usual Semi Final intensity. Batting first, the Reds batted very well. Tim Starr (one of our U16 stars) was superb getting his highest score in Seniors with 92 and was very well supported by Mark Bell with 52. At one stage the Reds were 4/210 but the Whites struck back after the break. Ben McNamara with 3/60, Geoff Richards 2/40, John Steel 1/35 and Andrew Watt 1/29 were very good on a Greenway Park batting track that offers nothing to the bowlers and has a very fast outfield. There is a lot of cricket in this game with the Whites strong batting being bolstered by Tony Hadley’s week 2 return and the Red’s fabulous fielding and enthusiasm. There is a lot of cricket left in this game for both sides. One of those games that from a Club perspective we can't lose.

C2 (1st) 5/55 Vs Normanhurst-Warrawee (4th) 143 – after putting Normo into bat we went through them for 143 with wickets being shared amongst the bowlers. Our innings did not get off to a good start with the score on 4/20 at one stage finishing up at 5/55 but with Steve Baker not out on 25 at the end of play. Still a lot of work to do but with Steve Baker still there and a good lower order we are a big chance.

Last premierships
A2 – last won 2006/07 so defending the crown
Colts – first appearance in the Semi’s
C1 – 2003/04 under Dale Van den Boogaard
C2 – 2004/05 under Craig Willmott

DCA website – points table
Now that the season is well underway anyone can track how their teams are going in the Competition in Both Seniors, Juniors and Girls by accessing the following website: www.cricketnsw.com.au/hkhdca and then just go to WPHCCC and then your team.

Alternatively, just go to Links on our website and it is the first entry.

Probably worth locking this into your favourites and checking after each game for the standings.
