3rd November 2007 (Day 1)
Kingsgrove Sports Winner
We have a fantastic relationship with Kingsgrove Sports at North Parramatta who are one of our major Sponsors through their support. This season they are giving away 3 gift vouchers to the value of a purchase made by a West Penno shopper. The winner is drawn randomly from WPHC shoppers.
Congratulations to Liam Hodge (U9 Blue) who has won a gift voucher for the full value of his purchase.
There is one further draw on the 24th December for any West Penno player who purchases anything from Kingsgrove Sports (just tell them at the time):
So if you need anything sporting think no one other than Kingsgrove Sports by far the best Sporting goods retailer in the area and great supporters of our Club.

Seniors
A1 Vs Kenthurst . Game washed out. A one-dayer will be played next Saturday
A2 Vs Galston-Glenorie also washed out. No play.
Colts Vs CHRSL. Washed out. 1-dayer next weekend.
B1 Blue Vs Normanhurst-Warrawee no play. 1-dayer next week.
B1 Red 9/239 Vs Glenhaven. One of the few games to get underway. Batting first we have a solid total with scope to score more with the Big Unit, Gav Hassett still there on 36*. Good to see Millsy back to run scoring form with 65. Glenhaven are a reasonable batting side so looks like we may bat on to consolidate our position.
C1 White 9/262 Vs Thornleigh. Yet another good performance with the bat despite having a number of players out. The run rate was also good with these being scored in 49 overs. Michael McDowell did the job again with 60 and was well supported by Nathan Fathers 40, Andrew Watt 30, Kishore 27 and Andrew Fiedler 20. This left 19 for Thornleigh to bat and they finished at 1/63 so looks like a god game looming.
C1 Red Vs Ku-ring-gai Chase washout - 1-dayer next year.
C2 Vs Kenthurst 6/261. One of the few games to go the distance on Saturday. This is a 300 run ground so still a lot of cricket left in this game. Issac Malamel, Jacques Visser and Steve Baker each took 2 wickets but could have had more except for a few catches being put down.
D2 Vs Kenthurst another washout. A 1-dayer is played next weekend.
A Grade DCA individual sheets
Everyone by now should be looking at the DCA website to get regular updates on points tables and results www.cricketnsw.com.au/hkhdca. If you get a chance then have a look at the WPHC A1 site there are some genuinely ugly players in A1.
A friendly team
Got to be something about the mighty C2s. Everyone now knows that Richie Cuskelly and Dave Gane have a shared interest in synchronized stretching and no doubt other warm-ups but the boys just keeping putting in. With both players arriving late to the game Dave showed discretion and just mentioned work sounds reasonable. Enter Richie, who confirmed more a more detailed shared reason that goes beyond the synchronised stretching enough said.
Photos
It is always an idea to have a browse through the Photo section of the website. The latest photo is of Simon Smyth and Adam Walter (A!) on their major milestone achievements last weekend. If you have any good photos they are always welcome.

Alternatively, just go to Links on our website and it is the first entry.
Probably worth locking this into your favourites and checking after each game for the standings.
