Girls update
Our Girls played in the North shore Girls Final on the weekend. Scores are:

Details of who is playing and where will be on the website early this week.

A2 168 defeated Kenthurst 61 and 7/149 – ‘Team Jobbo’ completed a demolition on Kenthurst before heavy rain came to bring the game to a halt. This is a game where Matt Jobson walked on water – scoring 76* and then backing up with match bowling figures of 5 wickets. Welcome back to Andrew Driscoll with 2/34. After an up and down season the lads are now in the best form of their season – bring on the Final.
Colts 63 and 6/75 lost to Castle Hill 153 – not a lot to report other than it was going to be a tough day at the office against this strong Castle Hill side before rain came.
B1 Red 4/135 defeated Kissing Point 99 – a fabulous win against 2nd placed Kissing Point. We did this in a canter with Peter Taylor 58* and Matt Davidson 39* in no trouble. We were 4 down overnight still needing 40 to wrap-up the win and did it without losing a wicket. After being competition front runners for much of the season, the form loss is now a distant memory with the boys firing.
B2 4/137 drew with Castle Hill 7/190 declared – rain brought an end to this game with us well placed to wrap it up. Andrew Mills with 38 and Adam Walter 35 batted well. After winning the minor premiership this was enough to see us make the Final.
C1 7/72 drew with Beecroft 204 – another game that was rain affected. The roll to the Finals finally came to an end with heavy rain playing its part at Tea. Loss of wickets was due to a combination of poor shot selection and very good catching. With Andrew Watt and Chris Collits still batting, Ashraf and Pat to follow who knows what might have happened but a good season brought to a pre-mature end.
C2 122 Vs Thornleigh 3/144 – despite no lack of effort form the lads we just ran out of bowlers through injuries over a long period. Rain finished off the game around Tea.
D2 79 and 4/41 defeated Normanhurst 56 –not much play here, due to rain, but enough to get a good win. Matt Thomas and Geoff Starr, both bowling their hearts out, dismissed a hapless Normanhurst for the addition of just eight runs to their overnight score of 7 for 48. Much, if not quite all of the credit for this goes to young Matt Thomas who lifted himself to another level today, to achieve the truly outstanding figures of 13.1 overs, 8 maidens, 5 wickets for 6 runs (!!!). I say almost all the credit because, at the other end Matt enjoyed the support of a fired-up Geoff Starr who put every last ounce of guile and energy into a great spell, finishing with a very respectable 3 for 24, which barely did his bowling justice. Both bowlers also benefited from the backing of a fine fielding side that is coming together as a formidable competitive unit as we head into next week's Final.

Presentation Night
Details will follow but pencil in Friday 11th May as our Seniors Presentation Night at Castle Hill RSL. Should be another fabulous night.

Legendary stuff in the making
Tony Hadley is usually ‘The Man’ who flies from all over the world to make it to games. Peter Taylor is now about to break into this legendary status. After ‘brilliant’ Captaincy from Dale Van den Boogaard who batted Peter at 8, 9 or 10 throughout the season he promoted Peter to number 3 for the Semi where he scored a classy 58*. The problem is that Peter has to fly to China next Sunday, (day 2 of the Final) for work commitments. When Peter changes his flight to Monday he will join Tony Hadley in legendary status.

You wouldn’t believe it
With names excluded to protect the innocent, one of our players has an Uncle who is a green keeper with a local Council had a quiet word about cutting the grass due to the with long grass threatening to derail our run to the Premiership. When the team arrived at the ground, the outfield was mysteriously good. Now we know why. For those who remember the great Jim Fuggle, he would be impressed.

Past Premiers
We have a fabulous history of Premiership wins in all Grades. The following list is a summary of our most recent Premiership wins by Grade. Good luck to those who can make it through to next weekend:
